LATTULO-STIPS – Complementary feed for dogs and cats with LACTULOSE and SOLUBLE PREBIOTIC FIBERS

LATTULO-STIPS is a complementary feed for dogs and cats in liquid form with lactulose, inulin and fructoligosaccharides. Lactulose contributes to the acceleration of intestinal transit; inulin and fructoligosaccharides favor the intestinal bacterial flora balance.

Among the most common problems from an intestinal point of view, certainly diarrhea and constipation in dogs and cats are the most visible because they create discomfort to the animal. Constipation can occur for different reasons, it is commonly associated with a reduced intake of fluids or wrong diets, with reduced fiber content. Severe and chronic constipation can be related to neurological problems, pelvic fractures and reduced peristalsis in elderly or cachectic animals.

LATTULO-STIPS formulation is a palatable solution, administrable in drops, with convenient 100ml bottle with dropper.

Two milliliters of solution contain 660mg of lactulose Ph.Eur, 50mg of inulin from chicory roots and 60mg of fructoligosaccharides.

LACTULOSE is a synthetic lactose disaccharide containing a galactose molecule and a fructose molecule.

Lactulose is not hydrolyzed and adsorbed in the small intestine; in the colon segment it is metabolized by normal intestinal microbial flora into short chain acids (lactic, formic, acetic) and carbon dioxide. The low molecular weight acids are able to increase the osmotic pressure of the intestine, recalling water and causing a softening of the faeces facilitating the evacuation.

Daily suggested ration: 2ml of LATTULO-STIPS each 5kg animal live weight. Directly administer the product in the mouth or mix with complete desired feed.
